Popcaan And Snoop Dogg Collaborate On New Single

Fast rising dancehall star Popcaan has secured a collaboration with rap icon Snoop Dogg who is currently in Jamaican recording for his upcoming album and documentary.

Sources close to the production exclusively told Urban Islandz that the Popcaan and Snoop Dogg duet was recorded a few days ago at the GeeJam studio in Portland, where Snoop has been staying.

“Popcaan is the hottest young dancehall artiste in dancehall now so we reach out to his camp and they were quick to act,” the source said.

“The chemistry between them in the studio was great, Dogg loved the beat, we can safely say we have a hit Hip Hop/dancehall crossover,” the source added.

The duet will appeared on Snoop Dogg’s upcoming album Reincarnated.

Popcaan recently release the remix for his hit single “Only Man She Want” featuring rap veteran Busta Rhymes.

Popcaan rose to stardom in 2010 after his collaborative single “Clarkes” with mentor Vybz Kartel became a worldwide hit. Since then the deejay, nicknamed the Gaza Prefect, has been making headlines with hits such as Ravin, Only Man She Want and Party Shot.
