Drie legendarische reggae-acts voor de prijs van één! Mighty Diamonds werd opgericht in 1969 (!) en bestaat uit drie uitstekende rootsreggae-zangers. Hun nummer Pass The Kutchie (1981) werd nog door Musical Youth gecoverd als Pass The Dutchie. Ook Pablo Moses loopt al een tijdje mee, maar deze onvermoeibare rastafarian met kenmerkende hoge stem blijft gelukkig gewoon doorgaan met zijn maatschappelijk geëngageerde rootsreggae. Linval Thompson tenslotte is niet alleen zanger, maar ook de producer van Eek-A-Mouse en Scientist. Nu maar hopen op zijn klassieker I Man A Grasshopper!
