Bob Marley Messenger Exhibition in Miami

The BOB MARLEY MESSENGER Exhibition is at History Miami Museum from October 10, 2013 thru January 4, 2014.  This totally unique, high profile exhibition is curated by the Grammy Museum and endorsed by The Marley Family. It’s been to Los Angeles, London and Montreal with rave reviews. Miami is the final stop before it goes back to JA to be dismantled in Bob’s resting place, Nine Mile.

One display is Marley’s famous Les Paul guitar, rare photographs of Marley, both onstage and off stage, ticket stubs, concert posters, tour books and fan memorabilia. The are also interactives including  a drumming station that allows visitors to learn how to play a reggae beat and videos of interviews of Stephen Marley, Neville Garrick, and other family members.

On Saturday, November 16, 2013, at 2pm, a panel discussion is scheduled featuring speakers who were close to Bob Marley. Moderated by Pat McKay, Program Director for ‘The Joint” on Sirius Radio, this should be an interesting event. Panelists include Neville Garrick, Marley’s album cover artist and good personal friend, James Malcolm, pianist & composer and cousin to Bob Marley, and Lee Jaffe, harmonica player and personal friend of Marley.

The closing party is January 4, 2014 from 6-9 PM featuring South Florida’s DJ Waggy T, who will spin a 3 hour session of Marley music.

There will be various Family Fun activities on the second Saturday of each Month from 1-4 pm.
