Biography Fullanny
Fullanny (Orlando Gambier) is a Reggae/Dancehall artist of Surinamese origin. Fullanny grew up in Rotterdam (NL) and started his music career at the age of 14. He started out playing an African/Surinamese percussion instrument. In 2001, he became a Rastafarian and was lead singer of a Surinamese Reggae band. At a given moment, it was time to choose his own path and he started his solo career as solo artist, Fullanny.
Rising Star
In 2007, Fullanny won the Albeda College Music Contest and gave a strong performance at the Metropolis Festival. (NL) In 2008, he also won the Dunya on Tour Battle, and, thereafter, had the pleasure of performing at the Dunya Festival. (NL) In that same year, he released the single/video clip “Fade Away”. In 2009, Fullanny released his first mix tape “From Africa to Surinam. The reactions, locally and abroad, were very positive and, as a result, he became known in Europe and Suriname. In 2011, Fullanny released the video clip of his greatest hit, “Haffi be a Winner” and this clip received a lot of attention on (inter) national reggae/dancehall websites, such as WorldReggae, ReggaeVille and United Reggae. The positive feedback from fans locally as well as abroad has been overwhelming.
Stage Experience
Fullanny has performed at many venues, including the Watt Rotterdam, Heineken Music Festival Amsterdam, The Sand Amsterdam, Waterfront Rotterdam, Paradiso Amsterdam and Tivoli Utrecht. He has opened for major international Reggae stars such as, Sugar Minnot, Etana, Gyptian, Sizzla, Tarrus Riley, Twinkle brothers and many more known Reggae Artists.
Fullanny is a versatile energetic artist, whose music can be enjoyed by a very broad audience, hence his motto “cyan loose, cyan fail, must win!!” which means“Can’t lose, can’t fail, must win!!”€
