Burning Spear, Gladiators & Droop Lion brought sun at Couleur Cafe festival

This Edition of Couleur Cafe was a wet one! World A Reggae trotted to Brussels on a rainy Saturday to see Burning Spear, The Gladiators & Droop Lion perform.

Unfortunately for the festival it was bugged with heavy showers when the festival started and the festival crowd got soaked.
This didn’t really matter for the (Reggae) Massive that came to the Festival to see The Gladiators and Droop Lion in the “UNIVERS-tent”. As always the played a wicked, energetic set with some old Gladiator-work combined with the new Roots tunes from Droop Lion.

Later that evening,  around 8 PM, the stage was taken by the legendary Winston Rodney aka Burning Spear. His only European show for this year. Allthough the showers kept coming the Spear brought sunlight to the stage with his recognisable voice and meditative tracks! Switching some old with some new works. After a 75 minute set the crowd could look back on some great music!

After the fireworks the crowd was treated to some hip-Hop, Funk, reggae, jazz and trip hop from French DJ Collective ‘Chinese Man’, that set the stage on fire with some booming beats.

Unfortunately World A Reggae was not Allowed by the Festival to take pictures or video of Artists on stage and publish them on our media.

The pictures that you will see below are shots of this rainy but very nice festival.
