Dennis Brown, Millie Small & Dobby Dobson Get National Awards

On the occasion of the 49th anniversary of Jamaica’s independence, and as is customary at this time of year, the Governor General announced today the list of Jamaicans who are to be conferred with national awards later this year. Topping the list in the field of entertainment is the late legendary singer, Dennis Emmanuel Brown, who gets this special acknowledgment twelve years after he died (in 1999).
