Reggae “Shaman” David Hinds And Steel Pulse Shine Light on Reggae’s Future

Steel Pulse’s Uplifting 2018 Summer Tour:

Marking the 40th anniversary of their debut album, Steel Pulse has never wavered in a career long commitment to better mankind through reggae music. This summer’s expansive, co-headlining tour with Ziggy Marley, has truly served to excite, elevate, and entertain fans of both bands. The tour has featured songs with pertinent messages of social concern, hope and unifying calls for action.

David Hinds ’ silky lead vocals, lyrical mastery and mesmerizing performances were “force majeure” nightly. As a collective, Steel Pulse’s musicianship feature the wizardry of Selwyn Brown and Sidney Mills on keyboards/vocals, the dynamic horns duo of Jerry Johnson and Stephen Bradley, David Elecciri on lead guitar/vocals along with Pulse stalwarts, drummer Wayne Clarke and bassist Amlak Tafari. These veteran musicians performed classic Steel Pulse anthems like “Steppin’ Out,” “Rally Round,” “Drug Squad,” “Roller Skates,” along with the The Grateful Dead’s “Franklin’s Tower”, in stunning improvisational jams, not customarily seen in live reggae music today. A must see event, the band will be performing at the Belly Up, in Aspen, Colorado (October 11 th ) and the Fillmore Auditorium, in Denver, Colorado (October 13 th ).
