Years after the zombie apocalypse ravaged the galaxy Major Lazer went into isolation after bringing peace and order to Earth. With the help of a mysterious shadow government called Cinco he was cryogenically frozen as a safeguard for the future’s wellbeing. Despite a great many years of pursuing peace on the planet, a new threat began to loom on the horizon and the commando was brought out of sleep by the Committee of Five. This intergalactic group faced an opponent that only Major Lazer could defend against: his former superior and Commander General Rubbish. Rubbish had come out of deep space hiding with a new weapon…Terror Lazor and was set out to enslave and capture all of Earth’s allies to seize inter-galactic planetary control and then destroy Earth. With dwindling resources to defend Earth and its allies, the Committee of Five brought Major Lazer out of cryogenic slumber. He was assigned a partner, the female assassin known only as Knife Fight. Together they set out to FREE THE UNIVERSE, beginning on the fortuitous date of April 15th, 2013.

We absolutely get into the fight with You’re no Good, a perfect starter that sets up the inter-galactical scene. We can easily imagine the military training going on Jet Blue. Walk! Stop! Salute! On Leftside’s voice. Commandos are getting ready. And because every story has its emotionnal side, Look at me I just can’t believe what they’ve done to me, we can never get free, I just wanna live, I just wanna dream…. Amber sings from her cell. As an Inter-galactic princess made prisonner sad but full with hope, her song Get Free reaches Major Lazer’s ears.
The beginning of this sidereal epic comes, Jah No Partial, commandos are landing, the fight can start. See them running, fight over, succeed on their assailant listening to Wind Up and Scare Me.
Jessica is a wonderful ode… I wish we could see her face. Does she look like the Diva in the 5th element?

Watch out For This(Bumaye), lthe 1sr single, staring Busy Signal, sounds like victory.It is motivating, festive and lively. As if the sun showed up in the dark.
You can loose a fight, it doesn’t mean you’ll loose the WAR, Keep cool reminds you. Just keep the faith and start again to Sweat. Unexpected Wyclef Jean gives us the beautiful Reach for the Stars, hopeful, careful, peaceful.
Bugle Butt is not my favorite, the blurred picture probably stars Knife Fight showing how strong she is and can be. Mash up the Dance clears it up fast.
Let’s celebrate, all together, with Playground which ends perfectly this fantastic album.
We already knew that this album would have been brilliant, regarding to the tracks they made for Snoop Lion (Doggy Dog), but were we prepared to that?
I don’t know exactly where this Future Dancehall world is, but closing my eyes, I jumped into it, and I don’t wanna leave.
