Following on from the success of their original team-up single ‘I Want You’, it was only natural that Aleighcia Scott and producer Kongz would collaborate once again. The new single, ‘Cry’ is another scorcher born from the unique UK-Jamaican combination of the creators with an infectious groove, smooth horns, and the undisputed power of Aleighcia’s voice.

Aleighcia has been patiently biding her time for conditions to improve for the release of her much-anticipated debut album, recorded by legendary producer Rory Stonelove. The release of ‘Cry’ is welcome while we wait for the album rollout in 2022!

Kongz, a luminary of Protoje’s Indiggnation band and one of the toughest producers emerging out of Jamaica’s new wave was introduced to Akai’s MPC Studio. Over time he developed a love for making beats, which led him into music production.
