Fake – Samora (Music Video)

After a sensitive ballad in February, a sultry Afrobeat song in March, and a dubby Reggae track in spring, the young Dutch singer with roots in Suriname once again proves her incredible versatility.

“Fake” is directed against dishonesty, people who do not meet you sincerely, pretend to you and others or even betray you. The singer addresses the listener with strong, powerful images and metaphors, quite dancehall-like, to fight against falseness and pretenders.

The instrumental and production are once again penned by Swiss producer team Ludovic Hoarau (Kiro MusicMaker) and Res Staudenmann and Samora rhymes over the beat like a true dancehall queen..

In the video, we see Samora as a fighting – and winning – boxer, an image that metaphorically visualizes her victory over her mendacious opponents, and as a triumphant brass player, symbolizing the power of the realness. The gripping images were shot in the Swiss capital Bern in front of the well-known Reitschule and in the historic training cellar of boxing legend Charlie Bühler as well as in the city of Biel on the roof of the no less famous Gaskessel. All three locations represent authenticity and therefore fit the video perfectly, which has been edited into a great clip by the young, talented video editor Mainfocus from La Réunion.
