New York, NY (FOX FUSE) – Songbird Nefatari breaks out with an explosive single, “Day U Mess Up,” as her sassy introduction to music fans and industry alike. Delivered in her pop R&B cadence, a video fronted by her model looks, and spewing lyrics of empowerment, this single makes for an anthem for females everywhere. It was written by Nefatari and produced by Eco One Productions, from Jamaica. The sleek video was directed by Jamaican video director, Chris “Icey Jace” Campbell.

Nefatari is no stranger to music’s mainstage, as she gained her stripes performing as a backup singer for superstars Lindsay Lohan and Emma Bunton (Baby Spice from Spice Girls).

“Music is my first love and passion,” reveals Nefatari. “My Jamaican background has a heavy influence on my music, which is a mix of reggae and pop. In addition to being an artist, I’m also a songwriter and write and co-write all of my songs.”

This is not her first foray into entertainment. Nefatari started out as a runway model for Tommy Hilfiger, and a principal in print ads for Dell, before transitioning into music. She also has royal roots when it comes to fashion and entertainment. Her mother, Constance White, is the current editor-in-chief of Essence Magazine and a veteran of the fashion entertainment industry.

Building her musical portfolio has seen Nefatari working alongside Grammy Award-winning and nominated producers such as PayDay Music, The Heavyweights, Ward 21, Ron Feemster, and Jason “J-Vibe” Farmer. She has also performed on prestigious shows such as Irie Jamboree, and the Reggae, Rhythm, & Blues Concert with the likes of Babyface, Monica, and Taurus Riley.

Kicking off the New Year with a bang, Nefatari opened for dancehall star Mavado at a concert in Florida. She keeps the momentum going with her new nomination for Breakout Video Of The Year by CariVibezTV, for her song “They Don’t Know.”

Nefatari plans on following up her single and video releases for “Day U Mess Up” with a mixtape, as she gears up to make “Nefatari” a household name.
