Perfect Giddimani Delivers Blessings with ‘Sibusiso’

No lies, I was patiently waiting for this 14th studio Album from Perfect Giddimani alongside producer Victor Gallardo a.k.a Sinky Beatz, the crazy talented music producer from Barcelona, Spain. The producer is known for blending world music with a deep specialization in Reggae Roots and Dub. And that you can hear clearly on “Sibusiso”, a name derived from the Nguni (Bantu nomads) word busisa, meaning “to bless” or ‘Blessings’. A well-picked name that even more makes sense after listening to the album.

When asked about the album, Giddimani replied: “Sibusiso only had one assignment and that was/is to deliver this little package of blessings to the people. Give thanks for the Zulu in you! Jah is good!

As always, the Giddimani/Sinky Beatz collaborations have that laid-back rootsy dubby vibe ‘wha mi like’. A vibe that instantly hits you on the first track, “Another Marcus Garvey”, up to the very last one, “Joburg”. A track that was released earlier this year. Just as ‘Joburg’, the City of Gold, the album breathes the adventures of Perfect Giddimani in South Africa where he recently deepened his connection with South Africa through a series of significant events, one of them being that on February 22, 2025 where the Singer made his long-awaited debut performance in South Africa at the Rhythms United Reggae Festival held at Hattingh Lifestyle in Vosloorus.

The album also features some powerful collaborations, one with Anthony B on ‘Rescue Me’ and another with Lutan Fyah on ‘Champion in Action’, keeping the roots and soundsystem message alive and strong.

On his YouTube channel Sinky Beatz wrote in the caption “I’ve been a big fan of Mr. Perfect for many years, his works with Zion I kings have been highly influential on me, and I always seen the I as an inspiration and a model to learn from. I’m completely humbled to be in this space right now, creating new sounds with my heroes. The idea of having my likkle grain of sand added to this powerful culture is like a dream made truth and a truly humbling experience. Give thanks for the opportunity and always praise to the most high for all the blessings we get continuously.”
