Veteran chanter Prezident Brown returns with a meditative call to action on his new video for “Sleeping Giant (Wake Up)”, the lead track from his 2024 album Roots Hop Reggae (In Your Box).

After more than a decade since ‘Journeyman Pilgrimage’, his last full-length release in 2017, Prezident Brown brings a grounded energy rooted in classic roots reggae, but with touches of hip-hop, jazz, and the West Coast sound he has come to embody.

“Sleeping Giant” isn’t about sleep at all; it’s about spiritual recharge and rising up with purpose. Produced alongside Tuff Lion and Mony Lujan, the track sets the tone for ‘Roots Hop Reggae (In Your Box) that honors the foundation while staying current and conscious.
