J’Calm kicks-off 2026 with brand new “Emotions” Reggae Album

Fast-rising star J’Calm released his second full-length album, ‘Emotions’ today via K-Licious Music and DubShot Records, alongside this official video for “Real Love.” The project marks a new chapter for the young Clarendon native, following steady momentum across both reggae and dancehall circles

Emotions features 13 tracks and includes productions from Tony “CD” Kelly and Sean Paul. Guest appearances come from Ky-Mani Marley, Wayne Wonder, Nigy Boy, and Khalia. Earlier this month, World A Reggae already highlighted the album’s title track “Emotions,” which pairs J’Calm with visually impaired breakout artist Nigy Boy. This collaboration drew attention for both its message and reach.

The full reggae album leans on familiar foundations. Tony “CD” Kelly revisits the classic Answer Riddim on the earlier-mentioned “Emotions,” while “Real Love” is built on the Green Apples Riddim. Top producer Kelly also appears vocally on multiple tracks, continuing a collaborative relationship that spans the project. Sean Paul contributes production on “Sweet Love,” following his earlier collaboration with J’Calm on “Call My Name (Remix)” in 2024

The official video for “Real Love” arrives alongside the album release. Directed by SAMO whos making a real mark in the video business over the past years, known for his work with Chronixx, Koffee, and Protoje, the visual focuses on performance and movement, with J’Calm taking center stage. The track appears as the eleventh song on the album and continues the project’s focus on personal themes and modern presentation

Other tracks on Emotions include “Weekend” featuring Ky-Mani Marley, “Downtown” with Wayne Wonder, and the closing song “They Didn’t Know That” featuring Khalia. The album also includes an intro voiced by UK selector Ras Kwame, linking the project to international reggae radio and sound system culture.

With Emotions, J’Calm continues to position himself between contemporary delivery and established Jamaican production, working with veteran figures while keeping his own generation firmly in view. This album is a great start to the year for contemporary reggae from Jamaica, a new sound with that oldskool vibe!
