Xana Romeo has released “The Divine Blueprint” alongside its companion project “The Divine Dub,” presented as a connected body of work. The album is released on the Charmax label, founded by Charm and the late Max Romeo, and is co-produced by Charmax Music and Xana Romeo herself.
Xana Romeo, daughter of the late Max Romeo, continues to carve out her own path with this release. The album has a mature sound and seems to give a clear view of where she is heading in her career, while staying deeply connected to her roots. Her demanding, commanding voice helps the messages in her songs come through with clarity and conviction. Rather than moving toward RnB or soul, a route taken by many artists of her generation, she remains closely tied to (roots) reggae.
Xana has come a long way since World A Reggae first met her around 2013, and this release reflects that growth, both artistically and creatively.
The same album is also released as “The Divine Dub,” created in collaboration with dub specialist Jallanzo, offering an alternate, dub-focused interpretation of the material.
“The Divine Blue Print” and “The Divine Dub” are available now on digital platforms. We are looking forward to seeing Xana on stages worldwide this season!
