MadElaine returns with From My Heart To Your Heart (Jah Wheel Records), a new record deeply rooted in the tradition of Jamaican roots reggae, yet shaped by a contemporary and personal perspective. This album, conceived and developed during the Italian artist’s years in Jamaica, represents much more than a collection of songs: it is a journey of transformation, awareness, and liberation.
Recorded entirely in Kingston, the album brings together some of the most influential figures in reggae culture. MadElaine has collaborated with legends such as Max Romeo, Cedric Myton, Linval Thompson, Queen Ifrica, and Luciano, sharing not only studio time but also life experiences and profound reflections that have shaped the creative process. As she puts it: “I was able to produce this album with those who today are part of the great culture of reggae and to share life experiences and valuable reflections with all these incredible artists.”
The album was recorded across different moments and sessions, with the instrumental base tracked at the iconic Tuff Gong Studios, while the vocals were recorded in historic studios such as Taxi, Charmax, Mixing Lab, and Harry J. The entire production process took place in Jamaica, with final mastering at Anchor Studio, resulting in an authentic sound that remains true to the essence of the genre.
Musically, the record is essentially roots, with a second half dedicated to dub versions crafted by notable names such as Jordan Armond, Mad Professor, Joe Ariwa, and Jallanzo The Dub Wizard, adding a deeper and more experimental dimension to the project.
Conceptually, the album presents a carefully constructed narrative through its tracklist. Each song forms part of a larger story: a process of personal and collective liberation unfolding track by track. The lyrics, rich in conscious messages, invite reflection on our life dynamics, our decisions, and the path toward greater awareness.
MadElaine has been involved in the different parts of the project, from composition to performance, sound engineering, and production—both musical and organizational. The result is an honest and complete work that arises— as she herself puts it—“from my heart to your heart,” a bridge between her personal experience and the wisdom of Jamaican reggae.
With this release, MadElaine writes a new chapter in her artistic journey, strengthening her connection to Jamaican roots while offering a work that transcends music to become a spiritual and conscious experience.
From My Heart To Your Heart is available on digital platforms and will also be released on vinyl next September. The album arrives alongside the music video for King Of The Planet, filmed in Kingston and now available on YouTube.
