Benicàssim, Spain – August 16–23, 2025
Rototom Sunsplash locked in its full line-up for its 30th anniversary edition, set to take over Benicàssim this summer with close to 200 performances across seven stages. Under the theme “Celebrating Life”, the 2025 edition brings together a global mix of reggae sounds and cultures from Jamaica to China, the US to Argentina, and beyond.
At the core of the final line-up reveal are three powerful voices from Jamaica: Koffee, the Grammy-winning new-generation star; dancehall queen Spice with her unapologetic energy; and the legendary Marcia Griffiths, representing a true reggae legacy. Together, they span three generations of Jamaican music on one stage.
Rototom 2025 continues to break sonic borders, blending nearly 20 styles—reggae, dub, dancehall, ska, hip-hop, jungle, afrobeats, amapiano, cumbia, even reggae-metal—into one vibrant, conscious celebration. Expect everything from the deep dub energy of O.B.F. and Mad Professor, to the lyrical fire of Saïan Supa Celebration and David Rodigan, to fresh live acts like Tribal Seeds, Abakush, and Kumbia Boruka.
This edition also honors what would’ve been Bob Marley’s 80th birthday, with a tribute led by his sons Julian Marley and Ky-Mani Marley, joined by Alborosie, The Wailers, and Marcia Griffiths. The biopic Bob Marley: One Love will also be screened in partnership with Reggae University.
Classics like Ken Boothe (with Lloyd Parks & We the People Band), Aswad, and Steel Pulse stand alongside new roots artists like Mortimer, showing the festival’s wide reach. From Spain, Morodo & Okumé Lions join forces with viral project Pure Negga Reggae Cyphera, featuring Fyahbwoy, Green Valley, and more in rapid-fire stage relays.
Rototom has always been more than a festival—it’s a global gathering. From families to first-timers, it’s a full-on cultural experience with music at its heart.
Also joining the journey are four rising crews from the Rumbo a Rototom contest: Kulto Kultibo, Baboon Prophecy, Joy Martínez, and Fresh Warapa, bringing new energy to the Lion Stage.
With big names like Shaggy, Burning Spear, Tiken Jah Fakoly, Tarrus Riley, Misty in Roots, Morgan Heritage, and Third World already confirmed, this 30th edition is set to be a powerful celebration of reggae music and the life it uplifts.
