Summerjam 2025 Line-Up: Burna Boy, Vybz Kartel, Shenseea & More in Cologne this July 4–6

Summerjam is back, and the 2025 edition is looking serious. From July 4 to 6, Cologne’s Fühlinger See once again transforms into a global meeting ground for reggae, dancehall, Afrobeat, and beyond. It’s the 38th edition of Europe’s longest-running reggae festival, and they’re not holding back.

The line-up? Burna Boy returns after leaving quite an impression last year at Summerjam in 2024. Shenseea, one of dancehall’s most confident current voices, joins the bill with her mix of Caribbean energy and pop edge. But the biggest shocker for many? Vybz Kartel is back on a European stage for the first time in over two decades, a rare, headline-making moment for dancehall culture.

Also on board: heavyweight roots and culture artists like AlborosieJah9Junior KellyThird WorldMortimer, and Morgan Heritage, performing for the first time since the passing of Peter Morgan.

From Germany, names like K.I.ZMax Herre & Joy DenalaneGReeeNPaula Hartmann, and Curse bring their own twist to the line-up. And after a long break, Irie Révoltés reunites to bring back their explosive blend of reggae, ska, and hip-hop.

And it wouldn’t be Summerjam without surprises. Soundclash culture is in full effect on Saturday with Warrior Sound (Germany)Code Red Sound (Jamaica), and Heavy Hammer (Italy) facing off on the Feelgood Stage.

Want to dance? On Sunday, Damion BG hosts a dancehall workshop open to all. On Saturday, there’s a new Beach Splash Party featuring ZJ Chrome (Vybz Kartel’s official DJ) and the Jugglerz, taking place right at Blackfoot Beach (18+).
