The legendary English roots reggae band Steel Pulse was one of the first bands in the genre during the second half of the 1970s to make social inequality their central lyrical theme.

Their first two albums, Handsworth Revolution (1978) and Tribute to the Martyrs (1979), are now considered reggae classics. In 2019, the band made a powerful comeback with Mass Manipulation, their first album in fifteen years.

Over the years, Steel Pulse has undergone many lineup changes, but at the helm remains singer, guitarist, and founding member David Hinds!
