Snoop Dogg Visit Bob Marley Museum, Talks Being Influence By Bob

Rap legend Snoop Dogg toured the iconic Bob Marley Museum last month while on a trip to Jamaica.

The West Coast rapper was spent two weeks on the island recording at the GeeJam studio in Portland for his upcoming albim Reincarnated, due this summer.

Snoop, along with wife Shante Taylor-Broadus and members of his production team visited several places in Jamaica including Denham Town, Tivoli Gardens and the Niabinghi Centre in Montego Bay where Rastafarian elders gave him the name, Bahani, which means “Light.”

A rep for Snoop told Urban Islandz that the rapper is heavily influenced by Bob Marley and Rastafarian culture. “A part of the visit is to gain some more insight into Rastafarian religion for a documentary that will coincide with the album Reincarnated,” the rep said.

Before departing Jamaica, Snoop recorded three new singles with local dancehall star Popcaan. One of which will be on his upcoming album.
