A few months after the release of 7, the seventh album by Mellow Mood, the Italian band presents 7 – Deluxe Edition, a new version of the record enriched with three unreleased tracks born from international collaborations.

7 – Deluxe Edition expands the vision of 7, an album that already marked a return to the band’s roots and an act of creative freedom. After handling the artistic production independently for the first time, Mellow Mood reaffirm their desire to experiment and to open up to new languages, while keeping at the center the pursuit of authenticity that has always distinguished them.

The first piece of this new edition was Play No Banger, a track in collaboration with Naâman with modern sounds and an international feel. Following that, Vida e Amor, created together with Brazilian band Ponto de Equilibrio, blends English and Portuguese in an encounter between reggae and funk that carries a spiritual message: life as an expression of love and of the divine energy that moves everything.

With Fuego, Mellow Mood bring this journey full circle. The song, in collaboration with Morodo—one of the most representative voices of Iberian reggae—was born from three artistic desires: to return to writing in Spanish; to create a riddim inspired by Bob Marley’s roots rockers style, enriched with horns and sounds evoking Latin-Caribbean traditions; and to share this vision with an artist long admired and a longtime friend.

Fuego is a song of rebirth and transformation. Fire, a symbolic and vital element, represents the force that burns away fears and conditioning to make room for courage and inner light. It is an invitation to renew oneself and to follow one’s spiritual evolution with determination and trust.

Following April 11, 2025—the release date of 7—the Deluxe Edition broadens its scope and updates its perspective: not a celebratory operation, but a step forward. The new tracks pave the way for a wider dimension, where the universal language of reggae intertwines with world music, funk, and spirituality.

With 7 – Deluxe Edition, Mellow Mood confirm their ability to evolve while remaining true to their identity: a warm, organic, and authentic sound, built collectively and driven by a message that continues to speak of awareness, freedom, and unity.
