Jamaican artist Savour steps into the spotlight with his debut single “Milk and Honey”, released via
Rule 1 Music. Born Johovan Gaynor and raised in the vibrant communities of Great Pond, Fern Grove, and Exchange, the musical heartbeat of Ocho Rios, Savour brings a refreshing energy to reggae — blending his island roots with global influences.
Inspired by legends like Beenie Man, Damian Marley, and Baby Cham, as well as international names like H.E.R. and John Legend, Savour’s sound walks the line between classic reggae soul and modern finesse. “Milk and Honey” came to life in a light moment — joking about sweetening his coffee — but quickly evolved into a full track once the vibes took hold.
“Music is like painting on a canvas,” he says. “I want people to feel like they’re stepping into the world I’m creating.”
With poetic beginnings and a sound shaped by both gospel and dancehall, Savour now looks ahead to future releases and big collaborations — aiming to connect old-school reggae heads and new listeners alike.
