Australian Chris Hamer-Smith, aka Chasm, presents his single Polar. The song sees a departure from the traditional boom bap sound of Chasm productions of the past, delving deeper into the world of dub and reggae and signalling a new journey in sound for this Sydney-based beat-smith.

Chasm has been involved in the music industry for over twenty years as a producer, mixer, recording artist and DJ. He has produced two Aria nominated albums with his group Astronomy Class and has participated in a multitude of projects by multiple Australian artists.

Under his dance music alias, Dr Don Don, Chris received international critical acclaim with his brand of chopped up funky and soulful house, garnering support from big names in the industry such as Atrak and Fatboy Slim. He has also collaborated with international acts well renowned in their genres – Gwen McCrae, Gappy Ranks, Fashawn, AG, David Dallas, Blak Twang and Guilty Simpson.
