From 1996 to 2021, he was the frontman and vocalist of Alerta Kamarada, a pioneering reggae band in Colombia and Latin America. With unmatched energy and message-driven lyrics, he helped elevate Colombian reggae to new heights, sharing stages with legends and leaving a mark on an entire generation.

In 2022, Javier launched a new chapter with his band JAVIER ALERTA, a project that reflects his artistic growth and renewed vision of reggae. As part of this evolution, he worked on “Brixton in Love”, his latest production recorded in London alongside British reggae legend Dennis Bovell.
