Love isn’t always smooth sailing—it lifts, it falls, and sometimes, it leaves more questions than answers. That raw emotional reality takes center stage in Kenya Eugene’s latest single, “In and Outta Love,” released today March 7, 2025. Blending the warmth of old-school Lovers Rock with a modern reggae touch, the track sets the stage for her upcoming Roots Reggae EP, ‘You Are I’, arriving April 4, 2025.
Produced by Alfred “Tippy I” Laurent and the renowned Zion I Kings (who just released Lutan Fyah’s ‘Strength & Resilience album’), In and Outtah Love carries that signature deep reggae foundation while weaving in fresh, contemporary textures. “This song captures the push and pull of love,” Kenya explains. “It’s personal, but also universal—because who hasn’t felt in and out of love?”
Her upcoming EP, You Are I, dives even deeper, exploring themes of identity, perseverance, and self-worth through tracks like I N I, Lift Up My Head, and the title song You Are I. With every note and lyric crafted with intention, Kenya Eugene steps fully into her roots, her truth, and her voice in reggae—and this is just the beginning. Kenya reflects, “Each track on You Are I tells a different story, but they all connect—whether it’s love, identity, faith, or self-discovery. This project is my first full Roots Reggae EP, and every note, every lyric, was created with intention.”
Kenya, statuesque, slim and standing at about six feet tall has blossomed- from the shy girl who began singing at the age of four in her native and tropical island of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands- into an elegant and graceful chanteuse who will one day be mentioned along with the pantheon of musical royalty.
