Lutan Fyah never stops releasing new projects. This time the ‘Rasta Still Deh Bout’ singer released “Strength & Resilience,” his latest album today, February 28, 2025, via I Grade Records. This marks another solid collaboration between the reggae veteran and the Virgin Islands-based label, following their 2017 project Music Never Dies.
Featuring 13 tracks, the album brings a deep, roots-heavy vibe, starting with “Warning’, and with some powerful collaborations with Chronixx on “Freedom Sound”, Queen Omega on “Days After Summer,” and the late Akae Beka on “Just The Time”—each adding their unique vibe to the project. Lutan Fyah revealed that some of these songs were recorded over nearly a decade, making this album a long-time coming labor of love.
When asked about todays release Lutan Fyah replied: “Today I release my studio album ‘Strength and Resilience’. I’m thankful to all who played a part in creating this album (Tippy I Grade, Moon Bain & Zion I Kings, Jah D ) which is a 13-track package with songs such as the title track ‘Strength and Resilience’, which was released as a single a few weeks ago.”
He continued: “For me, I think the time of the year is time for a Lutan Fyah as this album. We need Upliftment in a time when the world is in turmoil. I choose to create Music and Melodies that is listenable by anyone and not just for our regular circle of fans. I pray it works for the music and to keep a steady trajectory of reggae “.
With themes of perseverance, upliftment, and real-life struggles, Strength & Resilience stays true to Lutan Fyah’s signature lyricism. The title track sets the tone, reminding us all to stand firm despite the challenges we face.
For those ready to experience the album live, Lutan Fyah is taking the reggae on the road (alongside Jah Mason and Zhayna) with a European tour, stopping in Germany, the Netherlands, and France.
