Get To Know Lloyd ‘McA-Lion’ & Hasai ‘Bingi’ McLennon, father and son hailing from Trench Town, Kingston Jamaica. Drummer and Producer Fitzroy “Dave Primetime” Green asks them about their story and their music at Jamin Studio Trench Town.

McA-Lion
Lloyd McLennon, known to the world as “McA-Lion” the reserved artiste with a positive message bridging the generation gap with his soulful, yet vibrant lyrics with his duet son Hasai “Bingi” McLennon McA-Lion was born and raised in, Kingston Jamaica.
He is a singer/songwriter and has been in the Entertainment Industry since the 1980s with the likes of Clive “Tenor Saw” Wright, Yolanda “Yam my Bolo” Mclean and Howard “Supa Black” Black. Had his first studio experience at Anchor Studio in the early 2000’s with fellow friend/producer Colin “Iley Dread” Levy. In 2000 and 2001 went on tours to Canada with producer  “lley Dread” as an opening act for artistes such as Morgan Heritage,Beenie Man, Baby Cham, Crisinti and Norris Man. Recorded his first single in 2006 at Cell Block Studio “Babylon A Fight I”. Became a member of the Livynkulcha and Mau Mau Warriours Band as a percussionist.

Bingi
Hasai Mclennon, the other member of the father-son duo is a young vibrant, humble youth known to the Music World as “Bingi”. Through his playful lyrics that exert positive messages, he bridges the age gap of old and young audiences. Past student of the Denham Town High School where he represented them for years in the High School Rugby Union. Lover of sports and a member of the Jamaica Rugby Team. Also was a member of the LivynKulcha and Mau Mau Warriors Band. Graced the stage of several shows as a member of the Mau Mau Warriors Band such as “Fi Wi Sinting”, Peter Tosh Birthday Celebration and many others. Joined the Music for Social Transformation Band in 2011 as the drmmer.

In 2012, McA-Lion and Bingi entered their first music competition- JaMIN at the Bass Music Festival in Trench Town where they placed as a top 10 finalists. McA-Lion & Bingi have been performing as a father-son duo at Trench Town Festivals, The Wailers’ Museum launch, Rootsman Skankin’ among others shows. McA-Lion and Bingi have hit songs together such as “Rastaman she Loves” and “Believe in me” on the World A Reggae Records Label.
Now currently core members of Rootz Impact.
