Born and raised in the heart of Kingston, Jamaica, Chris “Flaus” Richards is an intrinsically motivated individual who has been a lover of music from a tender age. He came from a strong root of hard working family, hence he has directed his energy from an early age in working hard to bring his talent to the forefront of Dancehall and Reggae music.
Flaus grew up in a small community in St. Andrew called Woodford Park (The home of Metro Media sound system). He has been a statue of nothing but passion that represents the music from a child growing up in a community that was heavily influenced by it.

Being exposed to music from a tender age, Flaus managed to cultivate and lay the interest in the culture 100%. He wrote his first song at the age of ten (10) and began to entertain his friends who always gave him support.

This became vivid to “Flaus” as he was constantly drawn to his book penning lyrics at a more consistent level and engaging in vocal training to improve and greater develop his talent. As a teenager Flaus would perform at various stage shows in and around his community.

He admires the works of Damian Marley, Assassin, Vybz Kartel, Busy Signal, Tupac, Jay Z and Nas. As for the veterans and icons in the business, he idolise’s artiste’s such as Sizzla, Bounty Killer and Buju Banton.

He’s currently in the atmosphere of promoting his song called “GALANG BAD” (produced by Building Block Entertainment) which he describes as the “gal dem anthem” for 2017. Also this song titled ‘BORN PON DI BLOCK” on the Love Motion Riddim of Glendevon Records, that he describes as another anthem for the streets and a controversial song titled “NAH STOP CHEAT” produced by himself and TuffChin Records. He’s currently working with DJ Lanz of Ubique Records and has projects working on with other producers in the industry.
Flaus has always perceived himself as a lyrical artist, therefore he plans to reiterate that within music along with different melodies and flows.
