The Marley family has unveiled the star-studded lineup for the Jo Mersa Marley Birthday Celebration, set to take place on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the Bob Marley Museum, Kingston. This annual event honors the life and legacy of Jo Mersa Marley, bringing together reggae royalty and some of the biggest names in dancehall for a night of powerful tributes and electrifying performances.

At the heart of the event is the Marley musical dynasty, with Stephen Marley, Julian Marley, Ky-Mani Marley, and Damian ‘Jr Gong’ Marley leading the charge. The next generation of Marleys will also take the stage, with performances from Skip Marley, Yohan Marley, Mystic Marley, Soul-Rebel Marley, Shacia Payne, and Hymn Marley, showcasing the family’s ever-growing influence on reggae music.

Joining them is an impressive lineup of reggae and dancehall greats, including Bounty Killer, Tarrus Riley, Spragga Benz, Jesse Royal, Bugle, Agent Sasco, Jah9, Lila Ike, Ras-I, Christopher Ellis, Jaz Elise, Jemere Morgan, Black Am I, Amlak Redsquare, and Karbon. Hosting the night is veteran broadcaster Ron Muschette, while DJ Rasarellakeeps the vibes flowing between performances.

More than just a concert, this event is a deeply personal tribute to Jo Mersa Marley, who passed away in December 2022. As the grandson of Bob and Rita Marley and the son of Stephen Marley, Jo Mersa was known for bridging classic reggae with modern influences, carrying the Marley legacy into a new era.

Held at the Bob Marley Museum, this year’s celebration is set against the backdrop of reggae’s history, in the heart of Kingston—a city that has shaped the sound and spirit of the genre. Supported by Ghetto Youths International, Tuff Gong International, Marley Natural, and Irie FM, the event promises to be a night of unity, remembrance, and powerful reggae music.
