Stephen Marley takes home his 3rd "Best Reggae Album" Grammy!!

Stephen Marley won his 3rd Grammy last night with his wonderful and conscious album called: Revelation Pt 1: The Root Of Life.

After winning this award in 2008 and 2010, young Marley took the award now home again. Having to compete with Shaggy and his brother Ziggy, he came out as winner once again. Most of us reggae fans or should I say lovers are not suprised by the outcome of this contest.

Revelation Pt 1: The Root Of Life is a conscious album with beautiful riddims and most of all and maybe even more important great lyrics about how life is being lived right now and how injustice still rules over our globe. Songs such as Made in Africa (opening song of the album) brings you straight into the feeling that the album is supposed to give you, a layed back feeling but at the same time it makes you meditate about the lyrics and about the state of our worldwide community.

One of the songs on the album is called “Break us apart” , a collaboration with Capleton, which speaks about having to stand strong and as one. Not letting evil invade your mind and misguide you by teaching you a different truth about your beliefs. The message that it gives really is that as one we are stronger then as we stand alone as an individual.

As reggae music evolves, Stephen Marley came out with an album that shocked the whole reggae world in a wonderful musical way. Continuing what his father stopped doing 31 years ago by passing away, Stephen Marley showed once again that he is one of the greatest reggae singer/songwriters at this moment, not just in the reggae scene, but in the whole music scene.

If you haven’t purchased this great album, please do so now. The album only costs $ 9,99 and you can do that by just clicking on the below link wich will direct you straight to iTunes
