‘Conscience’ the awaited Quartiere Coffee album

Following the great success of single In Jamaica, which had more than half a million views in 4 months, Italian band Quartiere Coffee present their 4th album Conscience, mixed by legendary producer Ciro Princevibe Pisanelli.

Almost a concept album, the band explains: “Conscience is about the search for our self, discovering and finding it amongst thousands of different faces its own identity. The whole work is a journey to rediscover the importance and essential value of making positive changes in our lives and the world”. Musically, Quartiere Coffee have turned their artistic attention to the roots and new-roots genres, while maintaining their characteristic sound of 15 years, which features atypical reggae lyrics and electronic enhancements.

No Reggae album is complete nowadays without a selection of collaborations – and in Conscience we are treated to singer Rootsman I ( of ‘Train To Roots’ fame) on the eponymous title track, Utan Green features on Illusion and the voice of Earth’s Beat Movement – Mistilla – appears on Hey Girl. Fans of rhythm culture will enjoy the appearance of the Piiantiamola Riddim, courtesy of Love University Records, in the guise of a track entitled Healing of the Nations.

The record is released along with the video for the single Conscience, which tells the urban tale of the protagonist, which actually represents the act of falling into oneself, to achieve the ‘conscience’, an enigmatic and seemingly elusive thing, which in reality is always with us.

Recorded by Davide Fatemi at the Perfect 10 mobile studio, and mastered by Simone Squillario, Conscience is available now on all digital platforms.
