Meta & The Cornerstones release “Echoes of Time” album

Meta and The Cornerstones are back with their fifth studio album, Echoes of Time, which just dropped yesterday, May 29, 2026. If you’ve been following recent singles like “Tropics,” “Just for the Soil,” and “Ayee,” you already know Meta Dia doesn’t do surface-level music. This project pulls all those vibes together into one heavy, reflective body of work.

True to form, the album is grounded in solid foundation roots reggae, but Meta isn’t afraid to stretch the soundscapes. You’ll catch distinct flavors of Afrobeat, soul, and hip-hop woven into the riddims. It gives the whole record a fluid, layered feel; some tracks bring a warm, open vibe, while others hit with a much sharper, urgent edge.

Lyrically, the 15-track Echoes of Time is all about slowing down and paying attention to the world we are shaping. As Meta Dia puts it, we are living in a fast-moving time, but that doesn’t mean we are actually moving forward. Instead of trying to give easy answers to complex problems, the songs sit with the real-world tensions of identity, conflict, and the patterns we keep repeating.

It’s a deeply intentional, self-reflective album that skips the current hype music to give you something actually to think about. Echoes of Time is streaming now on all major platforms. Enjoy!
