Shaggy’s new 13-track album Lottery takes its name from a mindset that has followed him throughout his career: bet on yourself. Over the years, that approach has seen him take risks and make moves many questioned at the time, but it also helped shape a career that has lasted more than three decades. From reggae and dancehall to pop and R&B, Shaggy has never stayed inside one lane.
Largely self-produced alongside longtime collaborator Shane Hoosong, the 13-track project continues that formula. Staying connected to his Jamaican roots while blending in wider musical influences, Lottery once again shows the sound Shaggy has built his name on over the years.
