The Kingson from Kingston, LawGiver, releases 7 track EP.

“I am influenced by many genres, from Ska to Reggae to the Dancehall music of the 80s and 90s. I also draw from artists like Burning Spear, Peter Tosh, Bob Marley, Bounty Killer, Beenie Man and many others from the past to the present”. – LawGiver

LawGiver The Kingson, born Oneil Mark Phoenix, just released his 7 track ‘Kingson of Kingston’ EP. Released on the Imperishable Uprising Label. The Kingston-born artist delivered a project that very well shows his diversity and skills. The EP has that rootsy feeling we all expect on a reggae release and can well be heard on the dubby “Jah Never Fail I yet‘ and ‘Real Hustler‘. The EP also holds 2 dancehall tracks, wherein, in our humble opinion Law Giver sounds a lot like Anthony B (and that’s a compliment).

It’s good to see that Law Giver collaborated with upcoming reggae star Yaksta and Reggae legend, Half Pint, on tracks like ‘The Ruler’ and ‘Alive an Kicking‘.

Overall a wel produced Reggae EP thats is very welcomed in our collection. Job well done mr. LawGiver!
