There is a clear shift going on in Jamaica’s current music culture, with the amount of roots reggae music coming out of Jamaica seemingly growing again. Young artists are increasingly finding their way onto world stages and playlists. One of the tracks that reflects this is the new collaboration between Imeru Tafari (Jam) and Jalifa (T&T), “Igzibier”(Igziabeher – እግዚአብሔር, the primary term for “God” or “Lord”), produced by Zion High Productions on the Fruits Ripe Riddim. The track stayed a bit outside the radar because of the Reggae Month celebrations in February, but it definitely deserves to be highlighted.
