Building his name across East Africa, Ugandan artist Sama Sojah is back with a new tune titled “Let The Music Play”, released through JAMZ HOUSE at the end of March. The track has a classic reggae feel with a modern energy—showcasing Sama’s ongoing commitment to conscious music with a cross-border appeal.
When World a Reggae asked Sama Sojah about how this song came about, the Ugandan ‘Lyrical Senator’ answered: “I use music as a tool to teach and entertain people. In Africa, we widely use music to diffuse tension. Good music makes the children play. I’m making music to make the children play because they are the future. These little trees have to be watered with good safe water (music)
I further want to honor legends who have kept the King’s music alive even when some are not with us anymore. Everybody in every category should understand and pay respect to Good music because Good music is life. As we try to stay safe and healthy in the flesh, we should ensure to have clean souls too.
LET THE MUSIC PLAY“
