Samora – Free Up

«Free up» is a song about raising your consciousness, about freeing yourself from mental boundaries. Samora believes that you can reach so much more in life if you let go of excuses, if you have a true belief in yourself and your abilities and if you are capable of breaking down the prison you’ve built around yourself. And she thinks that you should let every impact in your life become a chance for bringing the best out of you.

Taken from the „Female Reggae Voices“ project which is in the making. More than a dozen female Reggae artists sing their song on a riddim produced by Res Staudenmann in collaboration with Kiro MusikMaker (La Réunion, France / Switzerland), Oli Bösch (Switzerland) and Thomas Ola (Switzerland). Among these femals there are emerging artists such as Joby Jay and Rosh Rebel from Jamaica, Awa Fall from Italy, SumeRR from Spain/Jamaica (with an incredible recording about Blackness…), Jo Elle from Switzerland, Chiney KiKi from USA/Jamaica and K’reema (USA).

The first single from the „Female Reggae Voices“ Riddim Selection is this one, FREE UP by Surinamese/Dutch Reggae- and Dancehall-artist Samora.
