Big 45 – Protoje (Music Video)

Protoje is back with “BIG 45,”, finally a big heavyweight reggae anthem again, that taps into the roots of Jamaican sound system culture. Released today via In.Digg.Nation Collective/Ineffable Records, the track delivers a bass-driven, high-energy vibe that’s already creating waves in his live performances. Produced by The Indiggnation and Winta James—the force behind “Who Knows” with Chronixx and “Switch It Up” with Koffee—this one is built to shake speakers and unite crowds.

The SAMO-directed video brings the essence of the track to life, with Protoje and his crew rolling through the streets, transporting massive speaker boxes—a visual nod to Jamaican sound system culture, which has shaped both reggae and Protoje’s career. “This is just a reggae and dancehall anthem,” says Protoje. “It’s about sound systems, live music, and that energy that brings people together.”

As BIG 45 takes off, Protoje is hitting the road hard, kicking off his 2025 tour season at Australia’s WOMADelaide Festival on March 9th, before heading through Switzerland, Portugal, Spain, Germany, and Denmark. April and May will see him across the U.S., followed by major European festival dates this summer and solo shows in November.
