Welsh-Jamaican artist Aleighcia Scott premiered her new video for “Dod o’r Galon” — the first-ever Welsh-language reggae track to top the iTunes Reggae Singles Chart.

Shot in her hometown Cardiff and across Garth Hill, the video captures sweeping sunrise views that echo the song’s emotional core. Produced by PenDub and released via Recordiau Côsh, the track blends a classic lovers rock groove with the rhythm of Wales — both musically and linguistically.

Scott’s journey into the Welsh language began in 2023 and has grown into a creative force, with this latest release marking a unique cultural milestone. Her debut album Windrush Baby was already nominated for the Welsh Music Prize, and this latest drop shows she’s just getting started.
