No worries – Stan and the Earth Force (Music Video)

We said it before, with a name like World A Reggae, we have to go all the way. This time, we stumbled upon a band from Vanuatu (that’s in the South Pacific… east of Australia), a small tropical island nation with a strong but often overlooked reggae scene.

Meet Stan and the Earth Force—a reggae band that has been making waves in the Pacific for over a decade. Formed in 2011, the band released their debut album, Easy Rock Steady, that same year. Since then, they’ve put out four albums, with their fifth currently in the works. Their music has been recognized regionally, with their first and second albums winning Reggae Album of the Year at the New Caledonia Music Awards (Flèche de la Musique).

And no, they’re not named after the 1980s eco-comic book. Their name actually comes from an interview with Bob Marley, where he was asked about the meaning of “roots.” His response? “Roots come from creativeness, reggae music comes from Rasta people, and it carries Earth Force and people riddim.” That philosophy is at the heart of their music.

At the forefront of the band is lead singer, songwriter, and composer Stanleyson Antas, known on stage as Stan Antas—the “Stan” in Stan and the Earth Force. Though they’ve never toured outside the Pacific, their homegrown reggae movement continues to thrive, proving that reggae’s message of unity and positivity knows no borders. The band plays conscious roots music.. and always tries to make sure the message in the music reflects their culture and the Rasta Inity.

Most recently, they released a new music video for “No Worries”, a track from their 2020 album Why Can’t We Live. The song, much like their entire catalog, delivers uplifting energy and a message of resilience—something the world could always use more of.

Sounds like a band to keep an eye on, right? We wouldn’t mind welcoming them on stages outside their borders.
