Steel Pulse & Clive Hunt Pay tribute The Police’s “So Lonely”

British reggae pioneers Steel Pulse have teamed up with legendary producer Clive Hunt to deliver a fresh reggae take on So Lonely, originally recorded by The Police for their third and final single on 24 November 1978 from their debut studio album Outlandos d’Amour. The track is the fifth and final single from the upcoming album Fields of Gold: A Reggae Tribute to Sting, set for release on March 14, 2025, via Ineffable Records.

With Steel Pulse’s roots energy and Clive Hunt’s expert production, this version transforms the rock classic into a deep reggae groove, bringing new warmth and soul to the song’s message. The album also features reggae heavyweights like Third World, Maxi Priest, The Skatalites, The Elovaters, J Boog, Kumar, and one of our favourites by Groundation, all paying tribute to Sting’s enduring influence on music.
